Great Moments on Fox II
Sometimes it’s hard to be a Fox News reporter. Everyday, you have to go in to work and try to invent a new way to keep the Reverend Wright story alive. Once you’ve spent 800 hours on the air talking about how the scandal will impact Obama in the general election, there’s not much more to say about it. What’s worse, even when you get a great idea to keep the story alive, it can explode in your face.
For instance, here’s a seemingly great idea: let’s go to a church where they allow Reverend Wright in and ask their pastor if that means that they’re racists and bigots too. I mean, no matter how this pastor answers, he’s going to look bad. Unless he, umm, knows what he’s talking about. Oh crap. Who came up with this idea?

This is pretty great.
I enjoyed his candor and passion immensely. I also liked his remarks about the repackaging of MLK, Jr.
I have no doubt, regardless of what Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly or Ann Coulter’s views on race are, that they would all be calling for his head as a hater of America. I think the country would be far better off if they read the whole content of King’s positions, not just the parts that make them feel all warm inside about racial equality.

Incidentally, O’Reilly only used a 5-second clip of this interview and then called on the Catholic Church to sanction him.
