Indy Math
Rush Limbaugh is crowing about his success in ‘Operation Chaos,’ and rightly so. Though every news outlet is vocally questioning, “Did Rush change the course of Indiana?” and leaving readers to do the math, the Indy Math speaks for itself.
In Indiana, 10 percent of Democratic primary voters described themselves as Republicans … and they went for Clinton by eight percentage points [58%], according to exit polls.
A total of 1,271,971 votes have been counted in the Indiana Dem Primary, meaning that 58% of 10% projects some 73,774 votes cast for Clinton by Republicans.
‘But wait!’ you say. ‘Surely many of those votes were Republicans voting for Clinton, rather than just against Obama.’ And you would be right - if only in 40% of the cases.
…six in 10 Republicans who supported Clinton on Tuesday said they would vote for presumptive GOP nominee John McCain over Clinton in the fall.
And since answering obvious questions is beneath our “impartial media,” I will do their work for them and calculate no less than 44,265 votes cast for Clinton by people who will be voting Republican come November.
Clinton’s margin of victory in Indiana? Around 14,000.
Did Rush “tilt” the election? Hell’s bells, “objective journalists,” he won her the state.

I’d been hoping someone would crunch the numbers on this. Thanks!
I heard Rush talking about Operation Chaos the morning after NC and IN. He of course takes credit for Hillary’s win in Indiana /but/ then he goes on to say that he now thinks Obama is the weaker candidate and says he’s considering having his listeners vote for Obama.
I took this to mean that even Rush knows it’s over. He is just looking for a way to take credit for Hillary’s defeat as well as her victories.
